St. Patrick's day fun

Today (Saturday) we decided to make some St Patrick's day goodies. The kids had fun and it is becoming a tradition for us to do this for each holiday we celebrate. Nothing beats spending some time together and making something delicious!

spring break

Yesterday marked the first day of Spring break for the kids. 11 days home together! help!!!! LOL. hopefully we will have fun and be able to get out and do things together! we Have our Easter decorations up, going to color some eggs, its going to be great! we also made Easter cookies !

we had a blast on St. Patricks day. we decorated cookies, made pretzel wands and chocolate covered strawberries. what a great new tradition we have together!!the boys also picked out some great hats to wear along with our green! Now to get ready for Easter!!

1st Sunday of March, 1st time at a new church

Today was a great day! All 3 of us got up and managed to get ready for church and made it!! We tried out a new church today and all of us really enjoyed the visit. We are going to try out the action night so the kids can see if they like it there, can't wait!  We spent the afternoon doing chores and just hanging out having family time.

    On a sadder note, it seemed like I spent the evening yelling at all 3 for the whining, not doing chores, climbing on the furniture, beating each other, etc

Super day today!

Today marked a first!! Deric got himself up, dressed, and ate breakfast all on his own, with time to spare before his bus came!!!  No fighting, rushing, or screaming!!! Which made for a great start to the day which was good too! Babysat this morning, Did some housework, paid some bills and hung out with my best friend for the afternoon and babysat again tonight.
    Went to the Salvation Army store and found the perfect table to make a great project from Pintrest. Can't wait to start it tomorrow.  Came home from errands to find I had won a photo contest I entered and got a gift card to my favorite restaurant!!

     For the most part, tonight was wonderful!, the boys played well together and with their best friends with no fighting or crying from anyone! Was almost a perfect day.

Valentines Day 2013

Since I don't have a sweetheart for Valentines Day, the kids and I made treats for us and our friends!

Our beloved Kourtney turns 13 in a couple days!!! hard to believe she is that old!! we love her beautiful smile and goofy ways. We love you Kourt!!!

So a week off of school went pretty well, going back, not so much!!! Deric has challenged me every morning but I persevere and he makes it on the bus.
    Gavin is thoroughly enjoying school and comes home everyday singing and telling me all about his day! I cherish these moments that he still wants to talk and share things with me.
    Kaitlin is glued to her phone or glued to the tv, take your pick! Guess I should be happy she still talks to me!
   February is coming to an end and March is fast approaching. I can almost feel the winds of change coming in. Just hope they are good winds!!

A new year, gonna be better!!

So, 2013 has arrived and at first it did not feel any different from the past 3 years. I have however begun to change some things that I am hoping will benefit the kids and I. I have sold my house to the guy next door and he has graciously said I can continue to rent here. I have finally opened a new bank account for myself and stopped using the joint account. I am trying to lose some weight as I feel like crap. Deric is doing better with meds and therapy. Katie is your typical teen girl, glued to her phone!! Gav is just going along for the ride!!! How I am blessed to have such beautiful, happy, loving children. God has provided for us and continues to answer prayer. I am so blessed. we are still struggling big time but I feel the overwhelming sense of peace and not to worry. I leave that to Him!!!
     The kids and I recently got to visit NYC for the first time ever and its all that Gavin talks about. he(and I) cant wait to go back!!!
