New Years Day fun

We started of the day early, breakfast and the wii!! The only one to sleep in was Katie!! The boys are enjoying their new games while still on break from school.

Things are beginning to look up, I got an apartment today, now for a job!

Rough day

Yesterday was a rough day. I've been living with my mom since September and we have been getting along sort of. She and I differ very greatly on how we should raise children. The boys were being noisy and she had a fit cause she couldn't hear the tv so she pretty much told us that we needed to get out. Ugh, I'm trying!!! 
   On a good note, I tried one of the recipes from Pinterest and it came out great!! More to follow!! God is good!!

Busy busy day

Today was busy busy busy from the time I got up. Getting the boys back on a school schedule after a long Christmas break and snow days because of the Arctic Vortex has been tough. Gavin refused to get up and I told him I would put him on the bus in his Jammie's and he reluctantly got dressed.
   Did dishes after the boys got on busses and then had to go pick Deric up for a trip to the dentist to fix a couple teeth. I was really proud of him at the dentist. Dr. Payer is fantastic with him and He  went without Valium this time so I got to take him back to school!! Back to moms for a couple then off to rake Deric to his monthly med check and a therapy session.
   Back to moms for dinner and homework time, praise God we had a good night and he got his HW done! Along with a chance to watch some kid tv since Nana had plans. Now it's just me time and then bed!!

A new year, new promises to myself

So, 2013 was a crazy year and I would so like to NOT repeat it in any way, shape, or form. This year I have a lot I want to accomplish. Some things are big, like losing weight. Others are smaller, like writing on my blog every day!
   I hope this year finds you all well! Thank you for visiting my page!! I welcome ideas to help me remember to write everyday as I am not much of a journal keeper.
   The kids go back to school tomorrow after a long holiday break and it will be good to get back to some semblance of our normal routine! Living with my mother is difficult so I am trying to keep things as "normal" as possible. Yesterday we attended a 1st birthday party for a good friends twins and today we are just getting everything back in order. I'm still out of work, still looking for a new apartment and still alone but dealing. Gavin is showing some signs of anxiety here so I'm glad he is going to therapy.
   Still I praise God and am thankful everyday

St. Patrick's day fun

Today (Saturday) we decided to make some St Patrick's day goodies. The kids had fun and it is becoming a tradition for us to do this for each holiday we celebrate. Nothing beats spending some time together and making something delicious!

spring break

Yesterday marked the first day of Spring break for the kids. 11 days home together! help!!!! LOL. hopefully we will have fun and be able to get out and do things together! we Have our Easter decorations up, going to color some eggs, its going to be great! we also made Easter cookies !
